Common questions

How much does a plumber cost?

It depends on the job and how bad the problem is. That is why the first step is a phone call. Describe the problem and get your free estimate on the phone, with upfront pricing.

Will I talk to a real person?

Yes, you will.

Do I need to fill out a form?

No forms and no waiting on emailed quotes. One phone call is all it takes.

Can I get help at night or on a weekend?

We have plumbers ready to help families in the community 24/7, but moment-to-moment availability depends on demand. Call to find out how soon we can service your home.

Should I wait to call?

You already know that plumbing problems don't go away on their own. And waiting just increases the risks to your house. Plumbers see this hesitation all the time. Instead of regretting not calling earlier, just make that 2-minute call now and get your free estimate.

People also ask

What is that banging noise in the walls when the washer shuts off?

Water hammer. A fast-closing solenoid valve stops the flow abruptly and the pressure spike travels back through the pipe. It is not harmless, because repeated shocks loosen joints and stress fittings, and a plumber fixes it with arrestors rather than by tightening anything.

Does PEX plumbing need different care than copper?

Mostly it needs different expectations. PEX tolerates freezing better and does not corrode, but it sags without proper support and can be damaged by long UV exposure. Houses near Cornelius built in the last twenty years are usually PEX from the manifold out.

My pressure feels too high. Can that cause damage?

It can, and it is worth checking. Municipal pressure varies by elevation across the area toward Landis and Davidson, and a house sitting low on the system can run well above what fixtures are rated for. A pressure regulator handles it, and regulators wear out.

Who is responsible for the sewer lateral under my yard?

The property owner, from the house to the connection at the main. Utilities maintain the public sewer, but the lateral crossing your lawn is yours, including any root intrusion in it.
